Our Program

Southeast Texas Air Rescue located in Beaumont, Texas went into service on March 11th, 2004.  Approximately 2 hours after going into service, Air Rescue made its first patient flight.  The air medical team is utilizing a new Bell 407 helicopter to provide air medical services to the region. The helicopter operates at nearly 150 mph with a full crew, a patient and all necessary equipment to provide emergency medical care.  The Air Rescue helicopter is a regional asset and the entire team is excited to be able to provide these professional services to their communities.

 

 

Mission Statement

Southeast Texas Air Rescue safely provides treatment and rapid transport of the critically ill or injured patient with the highest trained medical personnel in the air medical industry.

 

 

Vision Statement

Southeast Texas Air Rescue is the premier, long-term air medical provider in the Southeast Texas region.

 

 

 

This program's name is a "DBA" for Med-Trans Corporation (Med-Trans), an FAA Part 135 certificate holder and operator. Accordingly, all transportation by air that is done by this program is, in fact, done by Med-Trans. All aircraft and flights are under the operational control of Med-Trans, and all operations by this program are conducted under Med-Trans' operations specifications (OpSpecs). Med-Trans has the responsibility for ensuring this program's aircraft(s) are airworthy and are in compliance with its FAA-approved inspection/maintenance program. Med-Trans has specified the conditions under which flight may be operated. All flight crewmembers at this program that are assigned to a flight by Med-Trans are qualified, and have been trained under Med-Trans' approved training program.
