The PatientTransportation of critically ill or injured patients
via helicopter can significantly reduce time in route to
a hospital and allow patients to receive definitive care
within the "golden hour." Air transport is beneficial
when life or limb threatening conditions require
specialized care or ground transport would pose
unnecessary high risk either due to the level of care
available or lengthy transport times.
Determining the need for helicopter transportAir medical service may be the best means of transportation for the patient in order for them to receive immediate treatment or specialty care. The goal of air transport is to reduce the out-of hospital time and to continue the definitive intensive care initiated at your location / facility in route to the tertiary receiving facility. The air transport, with skilled critical care nurses and paramedical personnel, ensures continuity of care for the patient. |
